During WPIX's short reign of the New York airwaves, there came an evening in mid December when Jock Dan-O Neer commented

"Do you realize that in a few weeks it will be 1980? The decade of George Orwell's 1984? What a ______ing concept!"
After a quick set of songs, and a barrage of phone calls to the studio Dan came back on mic and made some obscure reference to a bunch of chickens just clucking around.  Another moment of radio history no doubt captured on some tapedecks somewhere, but not ours.
